We had a three day visit with our immediate family, so there were several different ages and personalities, but the house was so well laid out that we all had our privacy (when we wanted it). Goose Cove Retreat is within Trinity yet in a private beautiful setting on the water. We were overwhelmed by everything - beautiful, large, clean house; comfortable beds; full executive kitchen; relaxing, private setting; great patios and hot tub. Nearby Trinity has plenty to offer day or night.
Goose Cove retreat was a perfect family get-away. We took our young kids and it was a perfect weekend. Beautiful yet comfortable decor, luxurious baths and showers, fine bed linens, a state-of-the-art kitchen, and a gorgeous fireplace for enjoying company and a glass of wine. It was great for the kids too, with fun games and paints available, and a terrific mezzanine for the kids' bedrooms (equipped with a ladder which made my son feel like he was sleeping in a pirate ship's cabin!). There was also plenty for the kids to do - so much to explore outdoors and a huge patio where I could see my son while he played. It is minutes from Trinity, yet nestled in the woods overlooking the ocean. A wonderful family weekend in an amazing spot.
Goose Cove Retreat is a beautiful resort in a home! June has spared no detail in her creation of this luxurious home, from the sauna to the hottub; the beds and linens, the dramatic fireplace and the very nicely appointed kitchen. I highly recomment it.
Spent the day in Trinity/Elliston/Bonavista area on business and came back to Goose Cove Retreat after a very busy day with some collegues. The decore is a perfect pairing of an executive level property and a warm and inviting getaway. Beautiful linens, sauna and a kitchen that made me want to return with close friends and cook something spectacular! Great deck for relaxing and the hot tub is a hidden gem. Nothing overlooked and something wonderful around every corner. Cannot wait to return with either friends or business associates.
Thanks. I have some great memories from Goose Cove, was out there with a group of girls from work a couple of weeks ago and now returning with personal friends. I am also planning a family trip in my head. I LOVE it there, I immediately wanted to know who owned this place because of the immpeccable taste in both design and decoration. My husband would be lost in your selection of literature, although he has a lot of the same. I found one of my favorite children's books, Borrowed Black amongst your books and that gave me a chance to relive my son's younger years and "try" reading aloud using the same intonation and voices I did for him years ago! Quite fun after a few glasses of wine. I am positive I will enjoy myself again.
