A most wonderful stay in Newfoundland

Our long over due visit to Newfoundland led us to the Goose Cove Retreat across the bay from the town of Trinity. The property is exquisite and perfect for a family of 8 adults. The layout and style especially the kitchen and living room gave us so much space to relax. the high point was the large patio overlooking the bay with the fire pit and hot tub. The large rec room with pool table and the sauna were a real bonus. Our caretaker hosts Jim and Gerry met us there for a the grand tour and were very helpful during our stay. Jim brought around some delicious cod that we ate all week. There is nothing we had to ask for ..it was all there The area is wonderful great hikes, places to eat , bars and of course the amazing people... Highly recommend the early morning canoe across the bay to Trinity. The area is wonderful loads of whales, eagles and puffins to spot off shore in the vicinity Thanks for the best holiday in years. ! so worried about recommending to a friend because we want to come back !!
What an amazing place! Four of us went out for a girls weekend retreat for my 35th birthday. We knew from looking online that it was going to be a beautiful place but we had no idea what we had in store! It was truly spectacular!!!!! The house is perfectly appointed, such a great space for entertaining, cooking together, playing games or just relaxing inside and out (we did it all)! The hot tub and sauna were an added treat for sure. They have truly thought of everything. We can not wait to go back!! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing place that is truly a hidden gem!
The beds were really comfortable, the kitchen was well appointed and loved that there was three somewhat separate living areas. Liked the sound controls all over the house and loved the furniture in the TV room. The house was full of natural light and really enjoyed the fireplace and the fire pit outside. Also appreciated the phone calls during the week asking how are stay has been and checking in on us. Staff were friendly and helpful.
One of our best vacations ever. It was simply magical. When we arrived our granddaughter said “This is the best day ever. All of my dreams are coming true!” House was amazing and exceeded our expectations – which were very high. This is a wonderful place. Thank you Vicki for your tour and help. Thank you to the owners for sharing this magical spot.
